Fairy Cottage - FHD-1418

Playhouse-size

Tree Lodge

Pine Castle |
Nestled in the North Georgia
Mountains, Sleepy
Hollow is a delightful little enchanted park &
gardens hidden away in plain sight - on busy Hwy
76/515, just 6 miles East of Blairsville,
Georgia.
Children of all ages can peek in the fairy & hobbit houses, observe
whimsical figures, whirligigs and more in the
enchanted park setting. Visitors can also
purchase any of the fairy houses, fairy doors
and figurines in the artist's shop or watch the artists at work and the crew is happy
to field visitor questions.
Sleepy Hollow is a family run enterprise - owner Art Millican Jr is
a former Disney artisan with many years in
Orlando as a senior artist and craftsman.
Bringing all of the imagination and magic of his
experience at Disney to the North Georgia
Mountains, Art's fairy houses are all hand made
and crafted right here in his woodworking
studio. Visitors can see Art and his wood-elves
toiling in the studio, designing and building
all manner of exciting and mysterious toys,
houses and magical fairy doors.
Art, Sr. is usually found working his magic in the garden. Long retired
from his own flower and garden center in
Lexington, Massachusetts, Art senior enjoys keeping the
flower displays and ground covers fresh and
vibrant. Mom, Pat Millican helps out around the
studio and runs the retail store where in
addition to her son's, whimsical creations, you
can find other unique gifts and a large line of
art supplies for those wishing to create their
own magic.
It's not all about just the fairy houses, Art's imagination and
creativity extends to Automata (small ingenious
wood hand crank toys); a series of gremlin
figurines and miniature fairy doors.
Fascinated with wood hand-crank toys, Art has developed several whimsical
toys with moving parts, his leprechaun in a
Mason Jar has a small hand-crank and when
operated, the leprechaun pounds on the jar.
Mechanical toys have been made throughout man's
history, as soon as a mechanical discovery was
made, someone usually used it in a toy. Over the
years, these toys have developed a marvelous
sophistication, the art, engineering and
imagination needed to create these working
miniature machines presents a unique challenge.
Our fairy doors are also unique -
by placing them around homes and businesses they
create a fun buzz for employees, visitors and
families.
